Remington New Model No. 4, .38 Rim Fire Short 
The Remington "New Model" series of revolvers are made with clockwork precision which you don't see even with Colt and Smith and Wesson of this size. The accuracy and workmanship is exquisite, and the action is smooth and accurate. The Bulldog-like New Model No. 4 was made from about 1877 to 1888 and is most often encountered as a .38 rim fire or center fire version. This is a .38 rim fire in excellent condition. It bears over 95 % original nickel, the action is crisp and accurate, and lock-up is tight. The grips are in excellent condition, without any wear, cracks or missing chips. The bore is excellent, the rifling sharp, and the chambers are clean and bright.  SN# 22308, rated excellent overall.
