Rupertus Firearms Co. "Rover" .32 RF Pocket Revolver
Jacob Rupertus Firearms was in business in Philadelphia from 1859 to the late 1880's making a variety of small pistols and pepperboxes for the civilian market. Their "Suicide Specials" are generally of good quality. This little pocket revolver is called "Rover", and it is in fine condition. The gun retains about 75% of its original nickel plating, most of the loss being on the cylinder. The action works as it should, and the springs are strong. The two-piece walnut grips are in good condition without cracks or missing chips. They retain about 40% of the original varnish with a few scrapes and scuffs. 2 1/2 inch barrel, clean bore with sharp rifling. SN 4430, rated fine overall.
