Sharp's Four-Barrel Pepperbox Model 2A
Christian Sharp's unique 1859 patent for a rotating firing pin makes this little gun quite unique. The barrels are stationary, and the firing pin rotates clock-wise with each shot to hit the four barrels in succession. It is chambered for the .30 caliber rim fire cartridge. The 3 inch barrels retain about 25% original blue and the brass frame has about 50% silver plating. It is functionally accurate and works as it should. The bores are clean and the rifling is crisp.  The hard rubber grips are very good with a small repair on the right side. Rated fine overall.   SN#22646
